Important information for teachers
ERTA UK is an organisation that exists to support recorder teachers, providing recorder playing training and sharing resources. ERTA UK also provides a database of recorder teachers across the UK but is not responsible for the upkeep of a teachers qualifications, safeguarding training or quality of their teaching . ERTA UK advises all tutors to keep their safeguarding training up to date and required DBS checks. ERTA UK advises all students to ask the individual tutor for their safeguarding training, DBS certificate and qualifications. Plus ERTA UK recommends students request a one off consultation lesson.
If there are any safeguarding issues that you become aware of regarding a recorder tutor on the ERTA UK database please email [email protected] AND report to your local authority safeguarding channels.
If you believe any child or adult is at immediate risk of harm, please call the police on 999. You can also speak with the NSPCC via their website, www.nspcc.org.uk

Teacher Lists ERTA maintains and publicises a list of its member teachers by area. The list includes details of the type of teaching offered, and location. Inclusion is free to members.
