Dr Donatus, Prince of Hohenzollern, attended a junior programme at Dr Hoch's Stiftung Konservatorium in Frankfurt, Germany, and was from 1979 until 1999 teacher at a private music school. He has 40 years of experience in teaching and consort playing. Dr Donatus founded the TEAHOUSE BAROQUE in Guildford which brings established professional and semi-professional musicians together for rehearsing chamber music (teahouse-baroque.uk). He is Patron of the London International Festival for Early Music (LIFEM), Vice-President of the Kensington and Chelsea Music Society, Chairman of the Friends of the English Chamber Orchestra (ECO), an Ambassador of the elite Purcell School for Young Musicians, Principal Supporter of the Royal College of Music in London (RCM), member of the Board of International Governors of the London Philharmonic Orchestra (LPO), Patron of Arts for Dementia and, as a member of the Worshipful Company of Musicians in London, Freeman of the City of London.
