Arwen has more than twenty five years experience working with beginner, intermediate and advanced pupils from age 4 to at least 84! She worked for Buckinghamshire Music Service for 10 years supporting the recorder scholars, general woodwind lessons and  Music Centre recorder ensembles before moving to the West Country and becoming self employed: a 'one stop shop' for rural schools-  helping children to learn woodwind, violin or ukulele. Recorder, of course, always the passion!

Arwen's approach is flexible, patient and encouraging with an emphasis on building self esteem as well as musical skills. She is experienced in supporting additional needs and welcomes adult beginners who may be finding it hard to get started.

Locally and face to face Arwen teaches adult recorder ensembles, ensembles in schools and a mixture of individual and paired lessons. Additionally online lessons on skype may be booked, some students even do both!  Arwen is a qualified teacher of children with a BAEd+QTS and holds a CT ABRSM qualification.
