Nathan Winters studied the clarinet at the Royal College of Music (RCM) from 1999 - 2003 as a Foundation Scholar. He learnt from some of the finest clarinettists in the UK, including David Campbell, Tim Lines, Janet Hilton and Michael Collins. He has performed at numerous venues throughout the UK including Buckingham Palace, St. James' Piccadilly, and St Pancras Church.
Since graduating from the RCM he worked in the IT industry most recently spending 11 years at Microsoft. Since 2012 Nathan has had three Microsoft technical books published by Sybex and has spoken at leading IT conferences across the UK, Europe and the USA.
From 2017 to 2021 Nathan was Principal clarinet of the Farnborough Symphony Orchestra and played multiple times as guest principal clarinet with the Surrey Mozart Players. In 2018 / 19 he performed the Finzi clarinet concerto twice, once with the Oare String Orchestra and once with the strings of the Farnborough Symphony Orchestra. In 2021 Nathan moved to Hythe in Kent, and started his own electrical and smart home business; Inspired Smart Living Ltd. He continues to perform and teach locally.
