The speakers

Julien Feltrin teaches recorder at the Royal College of Music in London. This session will take the form of a lecture recital and will include the premiere of an as yet untitled work by Miguel Mera.

Sarah Pope teaches beginner to advanced violin and viola classes and string ensembles at The City Lit. and the Mary Ward Centre in London and is a Mentor for the ABRSM’s teacher training programme. She will talk about teaching adults.

Following the publication of his book on Dolmetsch and 20th century repertoire, Andrew Mayes looks at Benjamin Britten and the recorder.

Roderick Beesley who, as an Alexander Technique practitioner, has worked with musicians here and with opera companies in Stuttgart and Stockholm, will take a practical session tailored to recorder players and teachers.

Early 18th century ornamentation - English-style. Evelyn Nallen, performer and teacher, shares some of her research on a manuscript of William Pitt, 1721, and his ornamentation of tunes heard in the London theatre.

Plus - an informal session in Yuzuru Yamashiro’s Recorder Clinic (bring your recorders for repairs and re-voicing) ...
